6 weeks in Vancouver
Wow...can't believe it's been 6 weeks in Vancouver already! Where did the time go? CRAZY!
2 nights ago I went out to BAR NONE in Yaletown and my wallet was stolen right out of my purse. It only took a second and I didn't realize it until the next day. I wasn't even drinking! Funny how everyone says what a crazy city Toronto is but in the whole 4 years of living there not one thing of mine was EVER stolen. Bitter? No...not really. No seriously. It could have been worse! They could have taken my Blackberry with ALL of my phone numbers etc. Now that I'm living in B.C. I had to replace a few cards anyway so it's all good. Oh well, what can ya do? Be more aware next time I guess.
At the start of the night I met my cousin Alexz at The Sandbar in Granville Island for a drink. Our cousin Ryan joined us after work and then Alexz and I continued on to Bar None. My friend Rebecca was playing with her band Soul Stream. They are a soul/funk/r&b band and they play every Monday and Tuesday night. Awesome music & super talented band...too bad the crowd is so sketchy.
So I had my first interview with MAC cosmetics the other day. It was a group interview with about 12 girls. Yes, girls...most of them were pretty young. Felt I did really well and I'm now awaiting a phone call to move on to the 2nd interview. If I ace that one I have one more to go before I'm hired. I had such an awesome time working at Fashion Cares in Toronto. I love that MAC is so involved with fundraising for AID and HIV. Always amazing when you can give back and help when/where it's needed.
Still working at Absolute Spa as a makeup artist on the weekends. Enjoying getting to know all the women there. Really nice place to work.
Haven't had many auditions but am hopefull it will pick up for me. We will soon find out. Can't wait to go back to Toronto end of March and see all my friends...should be an emotional but fun time.
Until next time...
