West Coast pace takes time getting used to
Holy cow...I don't remember the west coast ever being this slow! I guess after being in Toronto for 4 years my mind needs to be re-trained. This is good for me...I keep telling myself that. Everyone is so slow here, it's unbelievable really. No one is in a hurry to do anything, and everyone has tons of time to get things done. Am I in Austalia?? No worries mate!? LOL I almost feel like I'm in slow motion. How crazy is that? It's actually quite funny. I have to keep reminding myself that it took a couple years to get going in Toronto and it's only been a week of being here. Calm down Krista, it's all good. As the brillant marketing people from Heniz said "Good things come to those who wait". A little CHEESE for your Maccaroni.
So I started writing a script about 3 months ago and put it down for whatever reason. I picked it up again today and plan to focus on that for the next little while. It all started with my friend Marie while we were working at Kultura. We couldn't believe the people that came in and all the stories we got from them...amazing how people can be when they think their someone special. It's amazing what one can experience while working as a hostess in one of the top restaurants in Toronto. Very interesting. I've never wrote a script before but I did start writing a novel about 8 years ago and it was kinda fun. We'll see what happens.
Last night my cousin Ryan took my mom and I to a Vancouver Canucks Game. Wish I could say it was super duper exciting. They lost to Chicago 0-3...bit of a yawner if you ask me. On the other hand...there is nothing like being at a pro sports game live. Truely amazing to take in all the action. Pretty cool. So nice of him to take us although he might think twice next time. My sister Debbie is a HUGE hockey fan and was pretty upset that I was there. Mom called her from the game and she said "what the heck are you doing taking Krista to a hockey game!". Tee Hee....Maybe next time Deb. Helps to be in the right place at the right time. Doesn't hurt to be living with our cousin either.
Getting excited about my birthday...can't wait! 16 sleeps!
Until next time...
