new beginings
Here's a picture of Baxter when we picked him up at the Toronto Airport back in November. He's was so tiny and fuzzy!
This is the most recent one of Baxter. He just got neutered and has to wear this cone to make sure he doesn't pull out his stitches.
This is a good one of this whole body. It was taken just a week ago.
Today I start a new acting class at Thor Carter Studios with Jock MacDonald. I just finished a 6 week on camera class at the Pro Actors Lab with John Gordon and feel stronger because of it. Also today Baxter gets neutered. Boy little guy...Matt picks him up from the vet at 5:30pm today...hope he's okay. Knowing Baxter he'll be up and running around right after. He's crazy like that.
I've had 3 auditions this week. One was for an independant feature film shooting this summer, and 2 commercial auditions (one was for T-Mobile). All of a sudden the business seems to be picking up. I hope so...I really enjoy being busy. This winter was far to long and boring. I miss performing and I pray that something comes up soon.
On Monday night (April 10th) I went up to Barrie to perform in a fundraiser for Larissa Mair's theatre company Theatre by the Bay for the 3rd time. It was an amazing show with performers from The Lord of The Rings, The Producers, Hairspray, Lion King, Broadway, Stratford, Shaw Festival and of course Mamma Mia. Always a fun night and it's for such a good cause. I feel it's so important to give back to your community and encourage growth in the theatre. So glad I could do it again this year.
The last couple weeks I've been busy putting together the makeup design for Sheridan College. They are doing their annual production of Catch a Rising Star (a musical review). My friend Noah Henne is the director this year and has really pushed the boundries. I think he's done a great job and so glad he asked me to do the makeup design. We are teaming up with the makeup department for this project and for the first time in history the makeup students will be giving their time to apply the makeup before every show. It's so exciting and I'm so pleased with all of their hard work. Industry Cosmetics have been a huge help to us in providing the makeup and supplies. If you can you should really go check it out. Call the box office for tickets at 905-815-4049. The show opened last night and runs till Saturday April 22nd. Oakville is in for a shock! This is not the typical annual show you see at Sheridan...keep an open mind and enjoy.
Until next time...
