September brings changes

So I finally got through August...didn't think it was ever going to happen. That was a crazy month of many yucky feelings and I'm really glad it's over. I have been talking to a lot of people and they all seem to have been dealing with some major issue in their life last month. Interesting how we are almost half way through September and already I feel like I have a fresh start. Auditions started to pick up (a little) and I just booked a gig! Tune into the finale show of Canadian Idol on Sunday September 17th. If you don't blink you might just catch me singing in the choir! Rehearsals start tomorrow. The best part about it is I get my ACTRA (union status for film and tv) out of it. Oh and Nelly Furtado will be performing in the same show so there is a chance that I might get to see/meet her. So awesome! Next week I have a callback for CATS, it's playing in Hamilton at Theatre Aquarius. Not holding my breath but it sure would be nice to be back on the stage again. We'll see.

As far as makeup goes, it's been off and on. Last week I worked on a secret project for Scream TV. I'll be able to say more later but I did makeup for it which was kinda cool. Oh and by the way you can see the United Way commerical I did if you go to the website www.untitledfilms.ca. Click on UNTITLED, then on NEW WORK, then go to the bottom row and count in 7. Scroll your mouse over the picture and it should read United Way. Click on that and it will play the super short commercial I worked on.

As for normal life (whatever that is)...I'm working like crazy at Kultura restaurant (the new hot spot in Toronto) where we have been hosting tons of TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) parties. Vince Vaughn was in Friday and Matt Damon came in on Saturday. A couple more to go this week, I wonder who else I'll see.

Anyways that's me for now...Until next time!
